Zion Anglican Church in Brimfield will be offering pysanky classes during Lent this year. Pysanky is a Ukrainian egg decorating art that uses layers of wax and dye. When the first Christian missionaries came to Ukraine, they used pysanky to help teach people about Christ. This prayerful art uses Christian symbols to develop colorful eggs.

Classes will be held at Zion Anglican Church – 205 Van Buren Street in Brimfield. They start at 6PM and end at 9PM. A different pattern will be done each week. Beginners and experienced students are welcome to all classes. Class dates are: February 16th and 23rd; March 1st, 8th and 15th

We supply everything needed to complete a beautiful pysanka. The cost is $10 per person and if you have your own kistka and wax, the cost is $5 per person.

For more information or to register for the class, email Zion.Eggheads@gmail.com. Please be sure to include which classes you wish to attend and the number of people attending. Children must be at least 12 years old and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent.

We hope to see you soon!
