The Anglican Diocese of Quincy, Peoria Deanery, held it’s first annual women’s Tea Party at Christ Church, Limestone. The theme for the day was Drink Tea & Eat Cake. Everyone was encouraged to wear a hat, and those present voted for the best hat. Eva, from Christ Church, won.

There were several door prizes. We were entertained with music by Fr. Abbot Luis and some sing-alongs. Our program was an inspiring message by Marolyn Wakely about her life and how she was led into Prison Ministry by the Lord.

Following the delicious food and entertainment, we moved over to the Church for prayer by Fr. Abbott and group singing of a very meaningful song. The afternoon was very enjoyable and we are looking forward to our 2nd annual Tea Party next year.
