What is your heart longing for today?
Today (and most days), I long for a shorter to-do list and a longer prayer time. I long to read and ponder and soak in stillness. I long for Jesus. And to be honest, I also long for a friend. There are days when what my heart needs most is a sister who’s “been there,” a friend to look me in the eye, speak the truth, and point me back Jesus. I need honest, nitty-gritty relationship. And I suspect I’m not alone.
For that reason, I hope you will join me and your fellow clergy wives June 9-10 in Silvis, Illinois for a time of retreat. The theme for this event is “Women of the Gospel: Exploring our identity in Christ.” Speakers will include Bp. Alberto Morales and several clergy wives from within the diocese. We will share together in worship, Bible study, creativity, rest, and stillness.
