Fr. Mike Strachan to move to St. Dunstan’s in Largo, Florida
Michelle and I are moving to Largo, FL at the end of the month. I’ve been called to St. Dunstan’s Anglican Church as the Formation Director, and I start July 1st. Michelle and I are very excited to be moving back near our family again because little Anna and Josh miss their grandmas, Doyla and Betsy. Dad (John) is moving to Largo too as soon as he is able.
While I look forward to working with Fr. Jim Derbyshire and serving all the wonderful people at St. Dunstan’s, the hardest part of this decision was how much I will miss the everyone at Trinity Anglican Church and St. John’s Preemption. You all supported me and worked with me and I will forever be grateful for and honored by the year and a half plus that I served as your Vicar. I will also miss the people of All Souls Wheaton IL. I owe so much to Fr. Martin Johnson and the people of All Souls that I wouldn’t even know where to begin other than to say thank you. Thank you also to Bishop Morales for his constant love and support and to Fr. Andrew Unger for being the best friend someone like me could possibly ask for. We will miss all of our wonderful Illinois friends, but, Florida beaches, here we come!
