Toys and Home Essentials for Peoria’s Lincoln School

Catherine Kern is a pediatric psychiatric nurse with a big heart for kids. On December 22 she dropped off toys and home essentials collected by Epiphany for Lincoln School, a K-8 school in Epiphany’s neighborhood. Catherine organized the drive, and school employees noted that such gifts may be the only Christmas gifts their students receive.

Lincoln School gathered gifts and home essentials from many organizations, and 7th-grade teacher Emily Hrdlicka remarked at the success of the effort as donations filled the school library. On December 23rd, school families “shop” the donated items.

Epiphany Hosts 6th Annual

Christmas carols filled the air in a downtown Peoria coffee shop during Epiphany’s 6th Annual Carol Sing. The two-hour event was led by musicians from Epiphany, Advent Lutheran, Bethany Baptist, and University Presbyterian. Epiphany provides song books and guests are encouraged to sing.
