The 148th Annual Synod of the Diocese of Quincy will be held Thursday, October 16 thru Saturday, October 18, 2025.
The theme for this year is “Your Labor is not in vain.”
Synod is open to everyone—not just deputies and alternates. This year’s gathering will be rich with fellowship, worship, and important updates on the work of the Diocese and the spread of the Gospel at home and abroad.
Reminder for voting delegates: Deputies and alternates must be certified using the parochial report forms in order to vote.

Synod begins on Thursday October 16th. Check in opens at 3pm. The Chrism Mass and Bishop’s Address started at 4:30pm. Synod will conclude at approximately 11am on Saturday, October 18th.
Registration & Costs
- Full Synod — $295
- Thursday Dinner and Friday Banquet Only — $120
- Thursday Dinner Only — $60
- Friday Banquet Only — $60
- Clergy Spouses Luncheon Only — $30
Synod Registration
The synod registration fee is $295. On September 17th the full synod price increases to $310. Registration closes on October 8th.
The synod registration fee covers the costs of Synod, Thursday Dinner, Friday lunch, the Friday Banquet, and snacks.
Thursday Dinner and/or Friday Banquet Only
If you have a spouse or friend who would just like to join us for dinner Thursday night or for the Synod Banquet on Friday night, the cost is $60 per guest per dinner.
Please register any additional guest dinners by Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
NOTE: Please advise us of any food allergies using the medical notes section
during registration.
Clergy Spouses Luncheon
The Clergy Spouses Luncheon will be held on Friday at 11:00 am. If you are a clergy spouse and are attending synod as a delegate, please register normally and add the Clergy Spouses Luncheon to your registration. If you are only attending the Clergy Spouses Luncheon, you’ll see the option on the registration form. The cost is $30 dollars.

Option 1—Pay Online
Pay online securely with a debit or credit card (secure).
Option 2: Pay by Check
To you pay by check, check the option on the registration form. Make your check payable to the “Diocese of Quincy” and on the memo line of the check, write “SYNOD”.
Include a list of the name(s) of who the fee covers and the registration type (full synod, Thursday and/or Friday dinner & banquet only, and the name of your church.)

Option 3—Pay with Cash
If you plan to pay your registration fee with cash at the Synod door, please be advised that you will incur the late fee of an additional $15.
