Meeting Needs and Serving Others in Central Illinois

The poor and disadvantaged are always with us, and we at Anglican Charities are working hard on their behalf. We meet the needs of others in the Peoria, Illinois area by partnering with local businesses, and our reputation continues to grow.

Anglican Charities is virtually self-funded, relying almost exclusively on the generosity of others. In the past year, Anglican Charities has collected and distributed food items valued at $336,885.

Since the Bishop established the Anglican Charities, that total value has surpassed $1.7 million, not including the value of vehicles, clothing, furniture, etc…! Donate to Anglican Charities here.

Our Work

  • Hurricane Relief
A cleaning supply company donated four pallets of cleaning supplies to us for hurricane relief, which we funneled to the Red Cross.

  • Vehicle Donations
A local company with a fleet of vehicles donate their used cars to us as they rotate their fleet. We’ve been given 5 vehicles to date, which we then donate to people and places of need.

  • SAMS No-kill Animal Shelter in Hanna City, Illinois
We actively support SAMS, and we recently received a donation from a hardware store to build a secure space on an enclosed porch for cats to stretch their legs and enjoy fresh air.

  • The Senior Center in Hanna City, Illinois
We provide many residents with food and other household necessities thanks to our partnerships with local businesses.

  • Raptor and Birds of Prey Rehabilitation
We supply a raptor rehabilitation operation, which works with Wildlife Prairie Park and local veterinarians, with chicken legs to feed the birds and newspaper to line their cages.

Serving Other Churches and Ministries
