The 149th Annual Synod of the Diocese of Quincy will be held Thursday, September 24 thru Saturday, September 26, 2029.
The theme for this year is “Following Him.”

Registration & Costs
The early bird registration fee is $295 (a $30 discount is automatically applied). After September 10th, the registration fee will be the standard $325.
The registration fee covers the costs of Synod, Friday lunch, dinners, and snacks but does not cover breakfast, which is included in your room price at the Embassy Suites, or alcoholic beverages at dinners. If you have a spouse or friend who would just like to join us for dinner Thursday night or the Synod Banquet on Friday night, the cost is $60 per guest per dinner, or you may register for both for $120. Please register any additional guest dinners by Friday, September 18, 2026. Also, please advise us of any food allergies using the medical notes section during registration.
Children’s Meals
As a new option this year, there will be specific children’s meals at each of our lunches and dinners. The cost per meal per child is $16. We’d love for more children to attend our diocesan meals, as this is a great way for them to share in the life of the diocese, so we wanted to offer an option just for kids.
Clergy Wives Luncheon
There will be a Clergy Wives Luncheon on Friday at 11:00 am. If you are a clergy wife and are attending synod as a delegate, please register normally and add the Clergy Wives Luncheon to your registration. If you are only attending the Clergy Wives Luncheon, please select the option “ONLY Clergy Wives Luncheon.” There is no cost for the luncheon.
If you prefer to pay by check, please select “Pay in person (cash or check)” at the end of the registration process.

- On the memo line of the check, write “SYNOD”
- Include a list of the name(s) of who the fee covers and the registration type (full synod, Thursday and/or Friday dinner & banquet only)

Synod Registration
The synod registration fee is $295. On September 10th the full synod price increases to $310.

If you have a spouse or friend who would just like to join us for dinner Thursday night or for the Synod Banquet on Friday night, the cost is $60 per guest per dinner. The cost for a children’s meal is $16.

Clergy Spouses Luncheon
The Clergy Spouses Luncheon will be held on Friday at 11:00 am. If you are a clergy spouse and are attending synod as a delegate, please register normally and add the Clergy Spouses Luncheon to your registration. If you are only attending the Clergy Spouses Luncheon, you’ll see the option on the registration form. There is no cost to attend this meal. It is a gift from the diocese for your love and faithful service.
